Eva Blenman
Eva is involved in her school’s Cheer and Dance Teams. She has developed her leadership skills by leading practices and supporting members of the team, making sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. She will attend York University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Tinaea Garrett
In Grades 11 and 12, Tinaea was Vice President of Goetz Black Voices at Father Michael Goetz High School, where she helped to foster a safe and supportive environment for black students to share their experiences, challenges and successes. She has continued this work of advocating for young black women through her volunteer role at Loretta College’s Black Student Association. She will be entering her second year of the Dental Hygiene program at Durham College in September and has a future aspiration of becoming a Dentist with her own practice.
Rachel Mensah
Rachel is part of her school’s Lacrosse team, which has helped her to build her teamwork and communication skills. She will be studying Commerce in the fall; however, her ultimate goal is to study Law specializing in Corporate Taxes. This will be a great fit for her given that she can certainly present a good argument when conversing with others.
Cienna Small
Cienna has academic strengths in Social Sciences and English. She is actively involved in her school community through her participation in clubs and student initiatives, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to making a positive impact. She is positive about helping others, and it is only fitting that she is pursuing a career as a Youth Social Worker and will be attending York University’s Social Work Program in the fall.
Nia Spencer
Nia is in her second year of the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway Program at Humber Polytechnic. She participates in the Peer Assisted Study Session Group, which means she attends study sessions where students work together to better understand course material and to stay on track academically. She is also an entrepreneur, owning her own makeup business. Nia is on track to complete the Nursing Program in 2031 with a focus on aesthetic nursing.
Marques Tyrell
Marques is a Rugby player who just completed his first year at Western University in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and wishes to further his education to become a Nurse Practitioner.
